I can’t understand why they have to use a busy road and cause tremendous traffic backup.
We take advantage of structures that are being demolished and use them for training when we are able to get authorization to utilize said structure. There isn’t much of a choice of where to go and we take them where available. Sometimes that means working off a main road as well. Allowing us to get in vital training goes a long way and should be worth the sporadic Sunday morning traffic during the 2 short hours we were there. I hope you can understand that.
The FD is always looking for properties/structures to train on. If you are a property owner and are demolishing a structure and wouldn’t mind allowing the FD to use the property for training, please contact the Fire District Office at 732-364-5151. Your contribution would be greatly appreciated!
