PHOTOS [UPDATED] Hundreds last night gathered for the Lakewood Fire Department’s Annual Chiefs Installation Dinner.
The event, held at the Woodlake Country Club, is the Departent’s largest event of the year, and attended by all the Career and Volunteers Firefighters and their families.
Sworn in as the Lakewood Fire Chiefs for the next two years, were Steve McNamara as Fire Chief, Michael J. D’elia as First Assistant Chief, and Joe Siverio as Second Assistant Chief.
Honored at the event, was outgoing Chief Todd Stark. Fire Chief Todd Stark’s position was cut short after the Garcia law took effect, forcing him to resign as Chief due to his position as a career firefighter. As a result, the 1st Assistant Chief Steve McNamara moved into the Chief’s position, and 2nd Assistant Chief Michael D’Elia Jr. moved into the position of 1st Assistant Chief until they were formally sworn in last night.
