PHOTOS: As the Hurricane continues to threaten Lakewood and the rest of the region, the Lakewood OEM (Office of Emergency Management ) and other emergency officials this afternoon met to discussĀ and prepare for Hurricane Sandy’s fury.
The meeting – held at the Municipal building and arranged by the Emergency Services Liaison Committeeman Meir Lichtenstien, was attend by representatives of all Emergency Services departments in Lakewood, including: The Lakewood Police Department, Lakewood Fire Department, Lakewood EMS, Lakewood First Aid, Hatzolah, Department of Public Works, Chaveirim, LCSW, Chesed Of Lakewood, Bikur Cholim and others.
The point of the meeting was to discuss and coordinate the Emergency response during the storm, and to implement any practical ideas suggested by the heads of the various departments. TLS.
Why hasn’t a MANDATORY evacuation of Tent City occured!

Why would you evacuate tent city they chose this lifestyle they dont want a roof over their heads
