The Lakewood Chamber of Commerce this past Thursday honored its most outstanding citizens and business winners of the 2015 Citizen of the Year Award. The recipients were recognized at the 42nd annual Citizen of the Year Awards reception at the Eagle Ridge Golf Club.

The 2015 Citizen of the Year Awards recognized Kelly Fliller, Cowan, Gunteski & Co., P.A., for her tireless service to the Chamber and the community-at-large; Lakewood Township Municipal Utilities Authority, Justin Flancbaum, executive director, for outstanding service to the residents and businesses of Lakewood, and its contributions toward economic growth and development; and the Monmouth-Ocean Development Council, Ben Waldron, executive director, for its dedication to enhancing the quality of life and business environment in the Monmouth and Ocean county region, and for the 50th Anniversary of MODC.

The event was attended by many local officials, including Freeholder Joe Vicari, Senator Robert Singer, Deputy Mayor Menashe Miller, Township Manager Tom Henshaw and others.
