The construction of the new hangers at the Lakewood Airport is nearing completion.

TLS on Thursday was given a tour of the construction site, where the pads were just installed.

Airport Director Steven Reinman says the three pads will contain 10 hangars each, for a total of 30 hangars.

The hangars, says Reinman, will be large enough to fit small corporate jets – which the airport will soon be able to accommodate, pending the completion of the runway recapturing project.

The hangar construction is expected to be completed next month.
