Jewish residents from the Toms River community today made their rounds to multiple agencies and hospitals to drop off food platters in honor of Thanksgiving.
The residents, from the Toms River Jewish Community Council, visited the fire station and police station among other stops.
“We distributed food platters as a small token of our sincere appreciation to the many individuals who make Toms River such an amazing place to live,” Toms River resident Bentzy Shechter tells TLS. “This is merely a representation of our appreciation, as nothing can truly convey our feelings of gratitude to these men and women.”
Shechter says the group was warmly welcomed wherever they went, and their gesture was greatly appreciated.

I remember Bentzy from the good old days in Monsey. Always helping others and greeting all with a smile, you are lucky to have him there in Toms River.
