PHOTOS: House of Bracha opens for teen girls in Lakewood

A Kvias Mezuza was held today, marking the opening of House of Bracha.

House of Bracha is a new house/program in Lakewood for single girls 18 years old or older, who for whatever reason, are unable to live in their family home.

“HOB offers a safe, healthy, non-judgmental, Frum environment, with a unique balance of independence and support that attracts girls from Lakewood and across the country, usually with little or no means of support, Abraham Danziger, who founded the program with his wife Sheva.

“We have programs that work with the girls to build their self confidence, complete their education and help them find jobs,” Abraham said.

Abraham and Sheva work in conjunction with Mrs Shoshana Benoliel, LCSW, Medical and Program Coordinator, and with the guidance of HaRav Shlomo Gissinger Shlita.

For more information, about House of Bracha, you can contact Abraham Danziger at [email protected].

(Those who wish to offset the startup costs of the house, including renovations, appliances, utilities and basic operating expenses, can do so here. All proceeds go toward the House of Bracha and its operations.)

  1. There has been a need for this type of home for many years already. Unfortunately girls who were not able to make it on their own somehow slipped under the radar and left the community. It’s nice that the community has realized the need for a safe home for our Bnos Yisroel who would otherwise be living in their own in unsafe places. Mazel Tov on this project!

  2. Oish, this is such a choshuve thing. Sadly, this is very much needed in this community. The Danzigers are off-the-charts Tzaddikim for getting this project off the ground.

@Yossel – if you act quickly you may still be able to get help. Plz, reach out to the proper medical personnel.
    Good luck.

  3. thank you to those who are always looking to help the Klal! This project is so important for so many of our girls! Too many that I know of. The emotional aspect of living in a home that is not emotionally healthy and safe can really rune a person. I am talking from experience. BH someone got involved and gave me the love I so badly needed and in addition the help I needed to overcome what I have been through. It scares me to think if not for this person where I would be today. I am living a healthy and happy life

A close friend of mine every thing is done so quietly we should learn from him to help people and dont tell others all the good we do.
