Sony Perlman was an excellent pick to present at this forum. He is wise, has many years experience with this population and is noisei baol with people suffering with these issues. Thank you for raising awareness about this topic and for inviting Sony to present.
Thank you Ezzy for your words of wisdom. As always, you are a source of inspiration to all. You may ask yourself why gd ever gave you the challenge but it’s no question to us outsiders. Your selflessness to the public is beyond words, you are a true Gadol Hador. Keep up your fantastic work and God bless you! One of your many admirers
I don’t know anyone who has struggled with drug abuse/addition personally, but I am so happy that this event has taken place. This is true chesed and a shining example of being ‘nosei b’ol chaverio’ (sharing in another’s burden) and ‘melamed zechus’ (judging others favorably) – it could really truly happen to anyone no matter what their background is. Drugs start in the pharmacy, not always in the street. Everyone is carrying around some form of pain – we just don’t show it. This should bring tremendous brocha to our community. I’m sure Hashem notices and is pleased with those who coordinated and participated.
Was this event only open for men to attend?
The event was for both men and women. On the women’s side, it was jam packed (as was by the mens) Great event.
@lakewood parent, thank you i was not sure as i did not see any women in the photographs. i’m glad this event was held.
