A large crowd gathered Tuesday evening in the reception area of The Strand Theater for the latest Lakewood Business Link event hosted by the LCSC. Back by popular demand, Ed Mendlowitz CPA shared his personal success story of how he became one of the Top 100 most influential people in Accounting as listed in Accounting Today.
In his opening remarks, Rabbi Moshe Z. Weisberg shared the lesson we learn from Avrohom Avinu who opened his home from all sides in order to help others. Parallel to this is our desire as a community to proactively seek ways and means to help one another succeed. That is the mission of the LCSC in general and of the Lakewood Business Link initiative in particular; to proactively help business owners and their employees acquire the skills necessary to succeed.
The program continued with Mr. Ed Mendlowitz sharing his tried and true secrets of how he became the success he is today by learning how to communicate effectively, utilize every opportunity to network and create his own unique personal brand. By honing his ability to patiently listen to people and through trial and error (and lots of mistakes – but ultimately learning from those mistakes) he has become the trusted advisors clients turn to for financial advice and direction.
A comprehensive handout was provided to all attendees.
This program was funded by The Lakewood Development Corporation as part of the BusinessLink series of Networking Events. Other programs offered by the LDC/LCSC include UEZ Microloans and Business Assistance.
