[PHOTOS BELOW] It took crews nearly an hour to extricate a driver after her vehicle became wrapped around a telephone pole early this morning.

The accident occurred around 2am on Lanes Mill Road, near Joe Parker Road

Crews needed to cut the vehicle apart to remove the patient inside the wrecked vehicle entangled with the pole. She was extricated about 3 am.

The driver, officials say, appear to have been on drugs.

She was transported to JSUMC with non-life threatening injuries, officials said.
