PHOTOS: Demolition Crew Finds Gun While Demolishing Lakewood Home

A crew demolishing a home in Lakewood today came across a gun.

The gun was a revolver, and appears to have belonged to a previous homeowner.

Police were called and took possession of the firearm.

Yesterday, the bomb squad was called after a resident found a grenade in his garage.

  1. Upon learning that a demolition crew discovered a revolver laying around a demolished Lakewood home on Thursday, and that a Lakewood resident found a gun in his garage yesterday, a senior Lakewood township official introduced a bill moments ago that would require all Lakewood homes and garages to be demolished immediately to protect Lakewood residents from dangerous arms and weapons.
“We don’t know what the next find will be,” the township official said. “Perhaps it will be a bunker buster bomb, or a portable nuke bomb, or a colony of skunks!”
“Destroy all the homes now,” he said, “before it’s too late and the bombs explode and the skunks go on a massive shpritz attack!”
