The Borough of Tenafly held a heartfelt ceremony today to dedicate Edan Alexander Way at the entrance of Borough Hall, 100 Riveredge Road.
Alexander, a New Jersey native and an Israeli Soldier, was freed after 584 days in Hamas captivity.
The event, which began at 11:00 AM, was led by Mayor Mark Zinna and the Tenafly Borough Council, with Congressman Josh Gottheimer of the Fifth District joining as a special guest. Together, they unveiled the new street sign in honor of Edan Alexander, creating a lasting tribute.
The dedication drew a large crowd of residents, who gathered to show their support and pay their respects. Following the ceremony, attendees were invited to share light refreshments.
