The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office today hosted a “Community Action Forum; No More Deaths” to address the tragic onslaught of deaths to the Heroin/Synthetic Opiate (Synthetic Storm) crisis.
Senator Corey Booker delivered a message on the Opiate Epidemic and Congressman Thomas McArthur was the keynote speaker. Additional presenters were from the FBI, DEA, Governor’s Office, NJ Attorney General’s Office, the Prosecutor’s Office, and others. The purpose of the program is to provide each attendee with a “toolkit” of instructional materials that they can use to spread the message of opiate addiction to their respective community. The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office wanted those in attendance to be the conduit to spread the message of the trials and tribulations of opiate addiction to their respective community using the resources provided to them.
The event took place at the Ocean County College, Gateway Building.
