Members of Chaveirim of Philadelphia gathered at a local Shul Sunday evening to celebrate their 4th anniversary.
Since launching, the organization has grown to over 40 members and has responded to over 1300 calls for service.
During the event, members heard divrei chizuk from Reb Shalom Kamenetzky, as well as R’ Yehoshua Brodsky from Chai Lifeline, who spoke about how much it means to the many families who unfortunately have to visit Philadelphia for medical reasons to know that if needed, Chaveirim is just a phone call away.
At the event, members also received new and updated equipment.
Chaveirim of Central Jersey (Lakewood) sent several dedicated volunteers to assist with training the Philadelphia members on the new equipment, as well as to provide them with many tips and tricks to help better serve the Kehilla.
