PHOTOS: Chai Lifeline NJ Hosts Unforgettable Chanukah Celebration with Over 1,700 in Attendance

Lake Terrace was once again transformed into a vibrant hub of celebration and community spirit as Chai Lifeline NJ hosted its annual spectacular Chanukah party. Approximately 700 attendees gathered for an evening filled with unforgettable moments and meaningful connections.

As families arrived, Chai Lifeline case managers and staff greeted each child with their signature warmth and care.

Families relaxed while enjoying an expansive fleishig menu by Greenwald Caterers, while children engaged in a variety of exciting crafts and activities.

One grateful mother shared her appreciation, saying:

“It was incredible to look around and feel like I belonged, surrounded by so many amazing people. Thank you for all the effort you put into making this happen. My kids had an unforgettable time—they absolutely loved it. For my older children especially, whose lives often feel far from ‘normal’ because of the medical challenges we face, this was such a special and uplifting experience. I’m so grateful for the extra joy and fun you brought into their lives. Thank you so much!”

As the night unfolded, children were captivated by the magical illusions of Nussi Friedman, giving parents a precious opportunity to relax and connect with one another.

Rabbi Sruli Fried, the regional director of Chai Lifeline NJ, expressed his pride, stating:
“To see so many families bonding and sharing the joy of the evening together truly showcased the spirit of Chanukah and what Chai Lifeline achieves every day.”

A standout feature of the night was the show-stopping centerpiece made possible by Mayer and Chaya Rivka Fishel—two stunning 12-foot menorah structures overflowing with endless sweets, bringing smiles to every child’s face.

Adding to the evening’s charm was a petting zoo hosted by Mr. Rosenfield of “The Ranch,” where children had the opportunity to interact with and enjoy the animals. The event’s construction theme came to life with tractors stationed outside and construction-themed décor throughout the party, blending perfectly with the lively atmosphere.

The energy reached new heights on the dance floor, as Chaim Duvid Deutsch and Yitz Henkin’s uplifting tunes, alongside the musical talents of Avrumi Rosenfeld, Shloime Baumwolspinner, and Raphael Pollack, brought families and volunteers together in a lively celebration of simcha.

“The simcha never stops at Chai Lifeline, with many programs and events supported by amazing volunteers who bring joy to all the children of Chai Lifeline year-round. Tonight emphasized that happiness,” shared Mrs. Friedman, a longtime staff member at Chai Lifeline.

As the night concluded on a high note, each family departed with not only cherished memories but also a box filled with toys tailored to each child’s wishes.

The Chai Lifeline NJ Chanukah celebration proved to be an evening of celebration and community. Chai Lifeline extends its heartfelt thanks to the many volunteers and staff who contributed to the success of the evening. This year’s toy drive was dedicated in memory of Reb Menachem ben Reb Yisroel Yaakov Wiederman Z”L. A special thank you to the Wiederman family for their efforts on behalf of Chai Lifeline.
