No it doesn’t really happen on a local level like the intrusion here. It seems that they are being summoned by the local leadership. There are areas that are manned by the state police like Farmingdale. Ask you local council or police why they feel the need to call in the State Police to do their jobs.
We should get Trump to put a ban on state troopers from entering Lakewood! This might help the whole state of n.j if the troopers make a strike!!!
The local PD does not call them in fact I’m not sure they’re too happy about it either.
The Troopers are sent by their Supervisors on any given day to any town they want to and step up enforcement of traffic laws.
