Authorities this morning continue to investigate the early-morning shooting that left three people injured.
As first reported by TLS, officers were dispatched to the Highpoint Condominium Complex after neighbors heard multiple gunshots.
“As Officers arrived, they were alerted that there were three gunshot victims inside a Prospect Avenue apartment,” Detective Sergeant Greg Staffordsmith says.
Upon making entry, they located a 25-year-old Lakewood man, a 26-year-old Toms River man and a 29-year-old man from Newark. All had multiple gunshot wounds to their legs.
Although the wounds did not appear to be life threatening, all three victims were transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center and are listed in stable condition.
Assisting in the investigation are the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department K9 and CSI Units.
“At this time we are urging anyone with information to contact Det. Oscar Valmon at 732-363-0200,” Staffordsmith says.

How did I guess that this would be in High Point? It is time to knock that place down and start all over.
Not all the people in this complex are bad or criminals.
I served my country 2 tours in the USMC came home and now had a new baby with my wife so we choose this location because of the lower rent and the large size of the unit.
I see many family’s out side BBQ’ing and having family parties with kids playing having fun the are a few hundred apartments here do not judge the stupidity of a few to be on all. I work come home and spend time with family I don’t use drugs or fight with people here so dont judge.
