  1. Thank you all for the hard work!!
    Keep it up!!
Don’t let those with criticism stop you from doing the right thing…..
    Can’t wait for the improvements.

  2. Thank you all for the hard work, Keep it up!!!
Cant wait to see the improvements.
Don’t listen to the ones that criticize, just keep on doing what’s right.

  3. These meetings should occur before approving and constructing these developments. The shady traffic studies presented to the boards in past years have caused substantial harm and even loss of life. While those responsible will be held accountable “eventually”, for now, let’s aim to learn from these past mistakes.

  4. What were they talking about, I would like to know?

Another thing when the development was approved, there was suppose to be a street that ran from Oak all the way to Providence, as an alternative to River Ave. Were is that street?

    • The Township Committee vacated that street and permitted the developers to install a “linear park” along the vacated right of way

  5. Oak and Vine is a fairly new development. If our planning and zoning boards had seichel, and knew a bit of the challenges we already have, why would we need to fix problems so soon after the development was developed?

  6. Attention Askonim:
Please remember to insist on a sidewalk on broadway all the wat to River Avenue. I work in the area and you see women with strollers and some young ones in tow, walking in the street right along side busses, trucks and 18 wheelers. a tragedy waiting to happen ח”ו!

  7. Maybe they should have thought about this before allowing this to be built? The same for the rest of the overcrowding of the once beautiful quiet peaceful town of Lakewood. Rt 9 is a disaster waiting to happen c”v

  8. As usual, Lakewood is being reactive instead of proactive. For example AFTER West Gate was built, they had to make changes to Central Ave traffic and JCP&L had to upgrade the electricity. There are many other examples of this all over town. That’s because the zoning and planning boards issue approvals and variances like candy without really looking into issues that might arise. Planning means taking care of issues BEFORE the building. But that would mean that developers might have to dish out more money…
