An alleged drunk driver was arrested this evening after fleeing from her vehicle after crashing into the woods, officials say.

The woman reportedly fled on foot from her vehicle which ended up in the woods following a collision on New Hampshire Avenue at Pine Street around 9 PM.

The woman, who police say appeared highly intoxicated, was apprehended about five minutes after police arrived on scene and searched the area.

New Hampshire Avenue is shut southbound at the stadium as the accident scene is cleared.

One patient was hospitalized from the accident.
