PHOTOS: 2 Toms River homes with ‘For Sale’ signs vandalized

At least two Toms River homes with ‘For Sale’ signs were vandalized over the weekend, neighbors tell TLS.

In both incidents, the vandal(s) apparently used a rock to shatter a large window above the doors on Friday night. Police were notified.

TLS has also learned, a Jewish family walking in the same neighborhood was harassed Shabbos Afternoon. The plate of the vehicle was reported to police after Shabbos.

Anyone with information is asked to phone police.

  1. A) It was a non Jewish home so the resident could have called the police if they were home or aware of it.
and either way its not so simple as you state to call on Shabbos..
    B) At least at one of the homes the resident was not home
    C) The non Jewish neighbor called the resident of the home and the police were notified and inspected the home Saturday morning.
    D) note in regards to the harassment from a passing car (2x same vehicle), at least 2 non Jewish neighbors were approached but were NOT willing to call the police. At that time the family were no longer under “immediate threat” to call themselves- and as stated did try to get their neighbors to call but to no avail. After Shabbos was the only time the family was able to first report the incident to police.

  2. Just for that, I’d like to buy both houses; turn one into a shul and the other an event hall. Funerals in the morning, weddings, Bar Mitzvahs at night. I’m gonna call it: Menucha V’Simcha !!

  4. Nothing to do with anti semitism. People used to vandalize houses on south lake drive. U have a big house? Expect people, especially those without your morals, to be jealous.
