PHOTO: Young Cyclist in Lakewood Saved by Helmet

A young boy’s life was saved on Friday, thanks to Hashem and his bike helmet.

The young boy was riding his bike on Rt. 88 Friday morning, when a car struck him while turning into a parking lot.

The father of the boy tells TLS he was thrown approximately 10 feet in the air.

“Fortunately, he was wearing his helmet made out with just a few scratches and avoided much injuries to his head and face,” the father said. “Here is a picture of the helmet with the visor snapped off. ”

The boy was transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center and released before Shabbos.

Police are investigating the incident.

  2. I don’t understand how HASHEM’s precious gifts to u can be treated so irresponsibly and carelessly or maybe just not cared for.
Unfortunately, It has become “Not Cool” to wear a helmet. Wat is wrong with you parents? That you cannot instill basic safety skills into the precious lives of your children? So mind boggling 😞why do we have organizations like Hatzolah and Chaveirim who dedicate hours and hours of their days to save our community who Drive irresponsibly and don’t care to teach our children the basic safety skills. It’s really sad wen pekuash nefesh and middosbis the most important things of our lives
