Many have wondered and inquired what the NJ Transit Police tower was doing in Lakewood. TLS today spoke with the NJ Transit Police who said the tower is part of a routine police surveillance.
The tower, located near the Lakewood terminal, gives police a way to monitor activity near their premises by gathering images and other information which is transmitted back to their headquarters.
Police say there is no specific threat againt Lakewood, and it’s just to maintain a police presence. The tower is moved around to their various terminals.

thank you Hashem for keeping us safe
They should have these things all over the high-crime areas in town. they have them on certain corners in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn, near where I work, crime rates drop dramatically where these towers are located. Some of them arent even manned or operational, but the hoods think they are, Shhhhhhhh
I agree w Command Post. Put one on High Point, MLK, Park Ave., etc etc…watch those assault numbers plummet.
