PHOTO: The Pit Bulls Terrorizing the Raintree Neighborhood

raintree pitbullsThe pit bulls pictured, are two of the three pit bulls still on the loose and terrorizing the Raintree neighborhood, residents tell TLS.

Since reporting about the ongoing situation, another resident, who spotted the dogs in her backyard, told TLS the following.

“Hi, I’m a Raintree resident and this is going on for quite a while with the dogs roaming the neighborhood. Chol Hamoed Succos we called the police because the 2 pitbulls were roaming our property. The police came twice because the first time they didn’t come out of their car to tell me they came, I gather because of fear of dogs. The second time I called, I told the dispatcher they didn’t come out of their car so they knocked on my door and I got to show them pictures and damage the dogs did to my pool fence! Enclosed are pictures of the dogs, maybe it will help trace the owner! You can see the door was bitten by them and wood chips from it are on the floor.”

Animal Control has reportedly responded to the area several times, but was unable to capture the dogs.

  1. call LPD quality control officer

they were able to help out in our area after receiving numerous calls.

these dogs can suddenly become dangerous. do not approach them.

  2. Poisoning the dogs will get you in trouble if they are found dead on your property. Don’t act impulsive. Call NJ state police they have the resources to handle this situation. You can find the correct # online

  3. Snow bird, how sad. You don’t even know the animal control officer, you just listen to rumors. He happens to be very good at his job. I have seen him save many pitbulls. By the way, these were not pits, and didn’t look threatening at all. All of you should be ashamed if you said anything negative about the police or animal control. Right away people want to shoot them, that’s disgusting. Maybe the community should have a class on how to treat animals and people wouldn’t be so scared them, and be much more tolerant of them.

  4. Oh these dogs were so scary let me tell you. I live in the raintree area and these people here we’re so affraid of two innocent dogs looking for food. At one point I had them contained in my yard and was feeding them and didn’t bother to call police because they were so nice.

  5. To TLC. It’s fine that you don’t post my blogs. I also live in raintree. Children walk alone in the streets, not sidewalks at dusk. They are so small, as small as my 2 year old granddaughter, no parent in site. It would be in great interest if you spread this news to keep them safe..that’s all. Going to a wake Saturday for a 6 year old that was murdered in egg harbor city. Don’t want to see anything like this again.
