A structure fire today in Lakewood is being classified as suspicious, authorities tell TLS.

The fire broke out about 4:30 pm at a vacant dwelling on Lakeview Place, officials say.

The fire prompted a general alarm, and was extinguished with the assistance of the Brick Fast Team.

Nobody was injured, Lakewood Fire Chief Mike D’Elia says.

The fire is being investigated by the Ocean County Fire Marshal’s Office, Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office, and CSI.
