I love the innovation and caring this shows for klal yisroel. May the couple be zocha to build a bayis neema biyisroel and have the continued azchus of making shidduchi.

Great Idea!! We need more of this everywhere!! Boy’s mothers need to stop nocking off girls for reasons that DON’T matter.

Hope the shadchanim are for parents to inquire about a girl/boy and not for not for the singles to spot somone at the chuppa and ask about them.

This can be a serious breach of tznius.

Ok! Instead of applauding some kind of innovation in the shidduch system to help with the obvious crisis, there will always be the ones who revert back to the same mindset that got us here in the first place.

This is a wonderful thing – kol hakovid to this family. Unfortunately though that still does not get to the root of the problem of why there are uneven numbers of boys and girls available to be redt and all the shadchonim in the world can not solve this issue unless they redt girls and boys only to people of similar age. If they keep redting 23 yr olds to 19 yr olds there will continue to not be enough boys for the girls
in perpetuity. It is just simple mathematics.

shadchanim redt people based on compatibilty, etc. where do you get the statistics that “they keep redting 23 yr olds to 19 yr olds”? Where is your proof?

The average boy is starting dating at an age 3-4 yrs at least older than the average girl. When population growth is factored into this it becomes a mathematical impossibility to match them all up.

Shmeel, for every boy that gets engaged, there is a girl who gets engaged!

That’s true but it still leaves a small but significant portion of the 19 year old girls with no one to match up with (kind of like musical chairs when the music stops)

There will still be all of the 19 year old boys of that year that are remaining single but that doesn’t help matters because they are not looking to get married

Not Jewish but I think this is lovely. Perfect for adults/parents to see what their young adult is interested in and discuss the reasons with them for their interest in those they think are a good fit for them. I pray I’m getting my point across to not just cross folks off because you don’t see their “value.” You never know that might be the next scientist to cure…ijs

Hashem knows exactly who’s gonna be married to who

We need to stop not listening to what hashem said about when boys should start getting married and then blame hashem for the poor results that have come from the age mismatch issue.

And all those people who never end up getting married and die alone? Hashem knew who they were supposed to marry and even arranged 400000 hashgacha pratis stories for you to tell over to place this boy and this girl at the same wedding and He wanted them to get introduced and date and get married because He knew exactly who should be married to whom but because of people like you that never happened and they defied His will.

Just and Idea

Very cute idea!

Perhaps someone should sponsor a weekly event where boys and girls can meet shadchanim on a regular basis (in separate locations) Parents can come too and see if they can spy on someone they would like for their child.

This will help the shadchanim become familiar with the person and not just a resume and picture.
