Lakewood’s Inspection Department this past week received a special visitor – a special child, Sara, who came to say thank you and place a ‘super’ sticker on Department Head Mike Saccomanno’s forehead.
The child, who brought along a handpicked gift as well, came to thank the department for helping out her school, the Special Children’s Center of New Jersey, located in Lakewood.
“Mike Saccmanno, Ron the fire inspector and Steve the Building Inspector really helped the Center Out,” said the Center. “We needed to get the trailers updated to a higher level CO so we can put younger children there legally, and what should have taken months, was done in just three days!”
Added the Center, “the Inspection Department of Lakewood really is unbelievable and easy to work with. They came back multiple times a day when we failed inspection so we could fix everything and make it legal.”
And the stickers she gave out to the staff sure brightened up their day.
“Sara from the Special Children’s Center brightened everyone’s morning in the Inspection Department when she came to visit,” said one of the staff. “The highlight was the gift she chose by herself to give to Mike!” Thank you everyone!”
