      • From an NRA article entitled “.22 LR Ammunition: More Diverse Than You Think”:

“In response to a new interest in rimfire pistols and concealed carry revolvers, some manufacturers have recently launched a few .22 LR loads designed specifically for self defense with deep penetration or segmented bullet designs. These loads also perform well when fired from rifles.”

There are many up-to-date articles about improvements in .22 LR ammunition design which make it a viable option for self defense, so please get educated and stop dissing this class of popular and affordable firearm. It’s a disservice doing so.

I own two .22 LR rifles — one Smith&Wesson semiautomatic and one Mossberg bolt action — and, in these troubled and threatening times, I have continually advocated for Yidden to purchase and train with firearms for self defense. And I’m tired of the balderdash that Jews and firearms don’t go together. It demonstrates an astounding ignorance of Jewish history in Tanakh.

  1. The issue isn’t this one almost certainly imbalanced individual. The issue is that such a person only does things based on the societal environment. This kind of thing being encouraged and accepted by enough of society that bad actors or mentally compromised individuals or groups are willing to take action. This is his action today. It might be worse tomorrow or it might be someone similar to him tomorrow r”l.
