VIDEO & PHOTOS: Driver extricated from overturned tractor trailer in Lakewood [UPDATED]

A driver needed to be extricated from an overturned tractor trailer in Lakewood this afternoon.

The accident happened shortly after 4 PM at the intersection of Cedarbridge Avenue and Airport Road.

The approximately 50-foot trailer flipped on its side, leaving debris sprawled across the road, requiring it to be shut down.

Hatzolah, EMS and Lakewood First Aid responded to the scene and cut open the windshield to remove the driver. He was hospitalized with non life-threatening injuries, officials said.

There are multiple closures in the area – including the GSP 89 exit.

  3. So happy no one was hurt. But, come on people slow down and pay attention. Too, too, much traffic. You need to be very attentive in this town. I’m always happy to make it home safe. Can’t believe what I see drivers doing. New Hampshire Is one of the worst. Again, happy no one was hurt.
