PHOTO: Packages Continue to be Left Outside UPS, FedEx Boxes; Items Will Likely End Up in Garbage

Residents continue to leave their packages at the overflowing UPS and FedEx drop-off boxes in the West Gate neighborhood, possibly not realizing that the items will most likely end up in the garbage.

If they don’t fit inside the boxes, chances are your package will not be delivered.

Additionally, packages intended for USPS will not be picked up by UPS.

  1. Um that is incorrect well sort of. What was said about packages ended in garbage and wont be delivered if can’t fit in the box only applies to USPS(the post office) and not UPS or FedEx

    • Nope. I have seen packages left on top of/in front of the UPS box that ended up down the block, rained on, in middle of the street, run over, popped open… And this happens at other UPS boxes as well.

  2. UPS returns can be dropped off at any Staples store or even handed to any UPS driver driving around.
Amazon returns can also be returned at Kohls & you don’t even have to package them up.
USPS packages can also be handed to any mail carrier or you can schedule a pickup and leave it by your door. The mail carrier will pick up the package when they deliver your mail.
