PHOTO: Overturned Dump Truck Shuts Southbound Rt 9

PHOTO: An overturned dump truck on Route 9 at the Lakewood-Howell border has shut all Southbound lanes, officials say.

The crash occurred shortly before 11 a.m. and left the truck’s contents sprawled across the State highway.

Extent of injuries to the driver are not currently available.

Expect heavy delays in the area.

I saw the aftermath of the accident. My prayers are with the driver.

I was there as it happened. Traffic is horrendous from Countyline Rd. to a few lights past Walmart. Avoid the area especially Lanes Mill Rd. on Rt. 9 I waited 15+ minutes to cross over the 9 and get to Kent Rd.
