The new traffic light recently installed at the intersection of James Street and Williams Street went into flashing mode this morning.
The mode is to warn drivers about the new traffic signal.
The signal will go into full operation next week, police say.

can i go through railroad road to majestic? the sign says authorized vehicles only. who is authorized and how do apply for authorization?
if you live there you are authorized. if you do not live there then do not come through. and if you do come through please drive slowly. this is not a highway. we have kids who have gotten hurt because of careless drivers that dont even live in the area
A street is a drivable road. Of course I agree that drivers need to drive normally and not as if they are on the freeway, but let’s stop training our kids that the street is an extension of their yard and open up all the streets to cars and ease the traffic flow.
yes, but drivers who think that using this road as a short cut they dont need to stop for busses, is VERY wrong. my daughter almost got hit crossing in front of her bus with its lights on!!!
what about a kid crossing the street safely, only to be nearly run over by a car coming out of no where at 60 miles an hour.
the kids dont play in the street.
BARUCH HASHEM!!!
I’m missing Boro Park less & less everyday!
the light that faces James going west what is it supposed to do it’s only a one way light
is it illegal for a non-resident to use the road?
That’s a good question. But first I need to ask my Ruv, “Is it Menschlich to use the road?”
any update for traffic light on chestnut/new hampshire ave & lights on rt 9/oak & rt 9/broadway?
About time this is brought out in the open. Stop closing every road by making it a cul de sac or this new invention so YOUR kids are safer in your eyes. You have a selfish way of living by not thinking about the rest of the town that needs to live. Streets used to always be open until some Ober Chacham came up with this…
I agree.
But the residents are not to blame!
It’s the township who is for some reason (we won’t go into that) is beholden to the builders and gives the approval for the cul-de-sacs so the builder can make an extra couple of bucks by putting an extra house where the road could go thru.
