nypd-ny-state-police-staten-island-expressway-hov-lane-oct-16New York Governor Andrew Cuomo  has called in the New York State Troopers to help crack down on abusers of the Staten Island Expressway’s HOV lane.

The HOV lane, which opened last September, requires vehicles to have at least three riders to use the lane.

The NY State Police will work alongside the NYPD in this new effort.

  1. Actually someone was pulled over a few years ago driving a hearse. At the time two people were required. He was issued a ticket. He fought it and won. It does not say in the regs that the person needs to be alive. So, no pulse required.
