A late-night fire in Manchester Township’s Crestwood Village completely destroyed a single-family home Sunday night, drawing a large response from township and mutual aid fire companies.
Emergency crews were dispatched shortly after 10:20 p.m. following multiple 911 calls reporting heavy fire and possible exposure to nearby homes. Based on those reports, the incident was quickly upgraded to a second alarm, bringing in mutual aid from surrounding towns.
The first arriving chief found the home fully engulfed in flames, with heavy fire conditions visible throughout the structure. All residents safely escaped prior to fire department arrival, though pets were believed to be inside.
Despite firefighters’ efforts, the fire had already consumed most of the structure, leaving the home a total loss.
No injuries to residents or first responders were reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Ocean County Fire Marshal’s Office and the Manchester Township Police Department.
