Stationed out of a new dock at Lake Carasaljo, the Lakewood Water Rescue Team this week will begin their water rescue training ahead of Summer 2015.

The Team consists of members of the Lakewood Police, EMS, Lakewood First Aid and Hatzolah, totaling approximately 20 emergency responders in all.

Beginning this week, the Team will roll out their jetskis, boats and other emergency equipment, rolled out from a new dock.

The dock, situated on North Lake Drive at Second Street, will serve as an exclusive emergency services headquarters at the Lake.

The Water Rescue Team has already conducted multiple rescues within the Lake, including saving stranded boaters, a boater that got a hole in his boat and more.
