Statement from Police Chief Greg Meyer:
“Please remain off the roads this evening to allow for snow removal and for first responders to respond to calls for service. Keep cars off of main streets so that plows may get through. Roads are very slick and icy due to the low temps.
It is not recommended to drive as snow is very deep in places. Cars that become stuck or left abandoned will be towed to make roads clear for plows. Do not attempt to pass a snow plow or a car traveling slower. Allow plenty of room to stop. Stay off the roads tonight”
The 2 red trucks going around Regent Dr did a fabulous job!!! Thank you!!!
Why hasn’t my street been plowed?
The white pick up truck going around the Glen Ave S neighborhood was much appreciated
I thought we had a new public works director. Why is my road finally being plowed now? Cars were off the streets the entire day, but NOW plows need to get by? My street being plowed finally now…
Our neighborhood was plowed very well! I saw a few plows come through during the day. Thank you!
Thank you to our new DPW director and all of the dedicated employees! Our development was plowed beautifully this evening ! Thank you for all of your hard work especially over a weekend. The difference was very noticeable this year
Really amazing job on the owing on the South Side! I am assuming that they finally got smart and private contracted it out? Great move! Get ready for out taxes to go up 🙂
Westgate was plowed!!!! Great job. Please now salt .
What a difference. Way to go DPW! Developments were plowed during the storm and most roads were plowed in a very timely manner and cleaned well. Noted and appreciated byvLakewood residents. Thanks DPW!
Malka way (corner hope and county line) has NOT yet seen a plow.
(Really happy for all those who’ve been plowed though)
Now that we all are impressed with the job the township did clearing our streets. Let’s all clean our sidewalks and make walking safe for pedestrians. Yes,I mean you with the corner lot who only clears the driveway. We appreciate your public display of self centeredness!!
Wow that was fast all the streets that I drove on were very clear
Driving around a bit I can’t help be surprised by all these positive comments. My area definitely wasn’t plowed well. Are we living in the same town?
Chill , it takes time to cover all the areas. I reckon that by tomorrow morning all the areas will be covered.
Murray Street plows did FABULOUS job! Private vehicles I assume hired by DPW. Great job guys! Thank you!

Gr8 job
Plows around all day
Where is the story about the unbelievable job the township did let’s let them know we all appreciate the hard work ;
I’m in the Monmouth higher numbers area. I did see the plows doing a good thorough job though I also observed plows at times hauling huge leaf piles that have been sitting there for over three months to the sidewalk with the snow. This isn’t one or two leaf piles but very many of them. There was a car on Monmouth and eleventh that was blocked in its driveway by leaves pilled up against the car from the plows and the driver spent half hour shoveling the leaves away tonight.
Although leaf pickup was done, a better job needs to be done next year as not to miss so many piles. I think all will agree this is a fair request. In addition they take up parking spaces and are eye sores regardless of the snow. It’s January!
Garden of Eden Dr. Please! Thank you
