lpd vehicle tls[PHOTO BELOW] A woman working as a cleaning lady at a Lakewood home, has been arrested and charged for stealing her employer’s jewelry, and selling it.

Earlier today, Detective Chase Messer arrested and charged 31-year-old Guadalup Menses Gomez (PHOTO), of Toms River, with theft.

“Ms. Gomez was suspected of committing a theft while employed as a cleaning lady at an Attaya Road home earlier this week,” Detective Lieutenant Greg Staffordsmith said.

“During the course of his investigation he determined that she has been regularly selling jewelry at area pawn shops since July of this year.”

Staffordsmith added, “We have reason to believe their may be other victims who are still unaware that a theft has been committed against them. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Chase Messer at 732-363-0200 ext. 5348.

  1. My cleaning lady ran out in middle of cleaning one day and never came back. Her husband was waiting for her outside and they took off on a mission. Still wondering weeks later if anything is missing. We’re all taking a big chance by trusting strangers in every room in our house.

  2. Most cleaning ladies are smart enough to know not to take big stuff. A few yrs ago a neighbor of mine accused her cleaning help of stealing some stuff. The cops took her into her cleaning ladies house, she found all sorts of stuff which she forgot about, then had the shock of her life when she saw Heimish brands of perishables in the fridge !! The Chutzpah. I hope Trump doesn’t deport them, tho. How we gonna make Pesach ?!?!!!!

  3. For the past 35 years we always clean ourselves , my wife never let a cleaning lady into our home.
My wife only keeps custom jewelry (junk) on top , all real jewelry is locked in her safe, and I would never leave more than $25 or $30 cash in my pants pocket even overnight , if I cash a check or something I immediately lock it in my safe, overnight I just leave a pack of $1’s which I use for the Shuls Pushka & meshulachim in the morning.

  4. Many years ago when my sister was younger she had a favorite headband which was missing one day after the cleaning lady left and lo and behold the next day she came in wearing it!!!!
