Authorities are actively investigating the armed robbery of the Santander Bank located at Route 70 and Shorrock Street, as first reported on our news alerts.
The armed man entered the bank just before 9:40 a.m. and demanded cash at gunpoint. After receiving a sum of money he fled in an unknown direction.

A little while back someone had pointed out relating to a bank robbery article that it seems that most bank robberies occur at the beginning of the month and gave the possible explanation that the beginning of the month is when rent is due…well that may help explain today’s robbery, as I believe you have a few days grace period and so I guess time was running out for this guy so this was his next best..
I wouldn’t be surprised if the guy gets away with it.
Maybe he was just fed up with waiting on a long line. This way he got faster service.
