A counterfeit $50 bill was given into a local shop yesterday, but when handed in, the clerk became suspicious and brought it to the owner.
The owner held it up to the light and though it felt quite real, he realized it was a fake when it lacked the magnetic strip.
This morning, the owner says he brought it to a bank who confirmed it to be a counterfeit.
Can you tell which one is the fake?
Answer: The bottom bill is the counterfeit one.
The lower bill is fake.
It looks like a copy-the collar is almost solid black- on the right side you can see 3 nice stripes of red but on the lower bill the red disappeared partially. Also the upper bill, his face is very clear and sharp.
Chase bank once told me the best way to check for a counterfeit. The collar should be very thick-using the tip of your fingernail, scratch the collar and if it is smooth like the rest of the bill, it is definitely fake.
It’s Not good copies!
Anyways the bottom is Real.
Numbers in the top right corner.
No fibers on the top bill.
What collar?
Top one is counterfeit; green stamp is not in the center of the word FIFTY
Bottom
this is too funny
I love the confidence of the people guessing
I am currently holding a $50 bill and as I suspected the top is real.. THE BOTTOM IS 100% fake. The writing on the bottom one is bolder and blurrier. The green stamp IS NOT centered which makes it real. Look at the bow tie, they look completely different. The stars on the left on the top one are noticeable while the bottom ones are blurred. Many more obvious differences but if look , you’ll notice all.
Thank you
Can TLS give us the real answer please?
The individual in the picture, he is wearing a jacket. That jacket has a collar.
That individual is Ulysses s. Grant he lead the union army to victory over the confederates in the civil war.
Did the owner accept it in payment?
