The Lakewood School District, in conjunction with the Office of Senator Robert W. Singer, Monmouth Medical Center and CHEMED, has arranged for the Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine to be available to all disabled children over the age of 16 who are “classified” – have IEP or Service Plans, as well as their parents and/or guardians.
The vaccine is available to any eligible student, whether they attend public, private, or parochial school in either Ocean or Monmouth counties.
The vaccines will be administered to this population this week at a tent set up at Lakewood High School on Wednesday 4/7, Thursday 4/8, and Sunday 4/11 from 2:30 pm to 7:30 pm, and will also be administered next week at Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus in Lakewood on Tuesday 4/13, Wednesday 4/14, and Thursday 4/15, from 8 am until 12 noon each day.
To receive the vaccine, eligible children and/or parents must register beforehand. So far, over 200 children and their caretakers have registered to receive the Pfizer vaccine. If your child is eligible for this vaccine, you can register by clicking here.
