Petition wants Lakewood voters to decide on tied Fire Election

A petition has been started to give the Lakewood voters the power to decide who wins the tied fire elections – and not the courts.

As first reported here, the Fire Commissioner elections ended in a tie.

  1. If there are 2 open seats on the Board of Fire Commissioners why don’t they just appoint the 2 top vote getters and then there won’t be a need for lawsuits, run offs or petitions.
