Dear President Ostreicher and Members of the Board:
We, the undersigned, are parents of children enrolled in Lakewood’s religious private schools. We are also parents of preschool children. We are writing to respectfully request that you ensure that all Title 1 moneys coming into the Lakewood District this school year and in the future, which are allocated by formula to private schools, as distinguished from public schools, be used only for the benefit of educationally disadvantaged children, (school-age and/or preschoolers-if so qualified), enrolled in the community’s private schools. We respectfully request that no portion of these funds be diverted from our community’s private schools—who carry the utmost burden of educating our children—to be set-aside, targeted, segregated, or otherwise limited to benefit only preschoolers.
We thank you in advance for your understanding and favorable consideration.

It says that it is going to go home with kids from school tomorrow. If you don’t have kids in school, as one of your neighbors if you can sign theirs. It looks like there are plenty of places for people to sign on one sheet!

If the mosdos agree with this, then by all means I will sign. They are the ones charged with educating my children and this is the least we can do to help them in their time of need.
for those that enjoy paying higher tution and tax bills then dont sign this. i got my tax statement last week and i will sign this right away!!!

i think it is high time the BOE realized the party is over. The mosdos are finally doing what is right and not running scared of MI and AO who tell them they will lose their funding if they dare speak out against the board.

There currently is millions going to FOR PROFIT agencies for pre school out of our tax money. If this title1 money would go to the correct place we could cut 4 million from our tax bills.

Just want to clarify that out of the 15 people on the LAC board, 12 of them have jobs and work all day. This is not out of boredom.

BTW: you will also be helping yourself, and the rest of the tzibur, by hopefully putting an end to the board of eds out of control spending etc, which DIRECTLY AFFECTS YOUR TAXES!!

for all those questioning what is the issue , i will clatify it for them.
most have us have children in mosdos and in preschool so what is the difference if it goes to mosdos or preschool?
the answer is very simple most of the mosdos have stopped playing MI’s game and have stopped giving in to his threats and therefore there are very little kickbacks and double billing and overbilling done by the mosdos. the result is that the money for the most part is going to help the children , and not going back into the pockets of MI and co.
On the other hand Tiny Tots is playing ball with MI, there is an extreme amount of overbilling and over paying going on , which means that the children there are not getting what they are supposed to. obviosly through many methods MI is getting his kickback for giving a no bid contract.
while right now the extra money going there is from the federal gov , MI said that when the federal money stops the township will cover it and that means our taxes. so basically in two years our taxes will go up so MI and co can line thier pockets.
for those of you that are fed of with this system of one person controling everything without open books , bid rigging, especially when this money should be used to build special eduction and remedial systems like they have in NYC and monsey – please sign the letter. its not only about the money. money is needed to build our special ed systems.
I am happy to put my name out there but they may or may not. We are not a gorup of individuals like the vaad. We are the kol of the tzibbur and the individual names are irrelevant. We do not voice any issue that the mojority of the tzibbur does not identify with. Very clever. You almost got away with it. Hijacking the issue of playgroup problems to add another $2 Million on top of the $4 Million already ripped-off by $1,250 per month tuition.
Stealing from the taxpayers wasn’t enough. You had to also steal from tinokos shel bais rabban.

“The kol of the tzibbur”… Bwahahahahaha! I’m not sure which is worse, Chesky – that you expect us to believe your nonsense or that you yourself actually believe. You and the rest of the LAC have no identity, no experience and no mandate. The LAC is a fraud and is in over their heads. Outside of the coffee room & the blogs, they have no real constituency. It doesn’t take a great deal of political savvy to capitalize on a general tenor of anti-incumbancy and growing frustration with rising taxes. What have you accomplished, though? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. All the while consuming precious political capital that those who have come before you worked many years to establish.
The LAC has no crediibility until they attach their own names to their petitions, causes, and /or public “notices”. If they really want to further their cause, and help out the tzibbur, they should list the names of their members on the letters they send out ( as does the vaad) and take RESPONSIBILITY for what is written. Until then, they are a bunch of kids tryng to play in the real world.
Forget about who is petioning it (the lac,the vaad whom ever).Use your brains for a change and see if it make sense to sign.The ones who are knocking the petetioners are mostly the ones that are losing from it.Its an Obama tactic.Attack personally and everyone will forget about the issue in hand ,your money being robbed!

A klal gadol is that when people are fearful of publicizing their names to a given cause, it is either because they truly are cowards and NOT capable of any leadership or because some of them have major negius involved and do not want to expose their true agenda to the tzibbur…

It is obvious you have an Agenda agains the LAC . Ill make you a deal . When you come public with your name and we can meet you ,then I will see to it that the LAC publicizes all their names
