We regret to inform you of the Petirah of Harav Yitzchok Sender Z”L, who was Niftar today.
Rav Yitzchok Z”L served as a Rov for many years in Chicago, and moved to Lakewood several years ago.
He is the father of R’ Moshe, R’ Shraga, R’ Dovid, R’ Yaakov, R’ Mordechi, R’ Meir and R’ Shlomo.
The Levaya will be taking place at 9:30 AM at Kehal Zichron Pinchos (Corner of Powderhorn and Flintlock).

A real loss for klal yisroel. A tremendous talmid chacham and mechaber seforim.
Please, it is RAV Yitzchak Sender. He was a Rosh Yeshiva for many years and a tremendous talmid chachom.

Harav Sender ZT”L was a talmid chochom, michaber sforim including the the Commentators Series, and rosh yeshiva in Chicago for many years. After he retired, he moved to Lakewood.

With the petirah of Rabbi Sender zt”l, Lakewood has lost a giant in Torah who authored many sefarim chashuvim in Hebrew (Machzeh Elyon, Ohel Rivkah, Tiferes LeMoshe, among others) and Engish (the Feldheim Commentators series, among others), a giant in mentchlichkeit, and a real tzaddik. He will be sorely missed by all who were privileged to know him.

What a loss. I knew him for 20 years. Always had something nice to say. Always immersed in learning. What a mentch. And his wife and children are all special people as well.
I am just reading what people are writing about this Tzadik who lived among us in Lakewood for the past few years. Why don’t we know about these things beforehand so we can take advantage and connect to these people? We are so spoiled and busy with trivial things that we don’t have time to know and appreciate these things…Bd”e

He was probably one of the most outstanding lomdim ever to be produced by the Skokie yeshiva. He produced a sefer Terumas Moshe when he was still a bochur! Remarkable in his learning and hasmodo….. If I had known he was retired in Lakewood it would have been kedai to make a special trip for the honor of seeing him. חבל על דאבדין

Levaya in E’Y is Tuesday in Eretz Hachayim cemetary near Bet Shemesh. Shiva is in Yerushalayim at 138/10 Sanhedria Murchevet until 8pm (from late afternoon). For further info- 054 843 3333.
