Wow what a big loss for Klal Yisroel. R’ Velvy was everyone’s best friend. Always had a good word for anyone and everyone. He would do anything for anyone. What a sad day.
יהי זכרו ברוך
A wonderful person. He had a hard life for many years, but always kept a smile on his face and was mechazek everyone around him.

He never forgot a Talmid of the Yeshiva even years after he left the Yeshiva.
Always had agood word, and kept in touch with hundreds of talmidim.
I personally, as a Talmid, will miss him!

I am in shock. Velvel was always so much larger than life. We was never seen without a smile and a cheerful word for those around him. May HkbH bring a Nechama to elky and the children.
Velvy Velvy Velvy, to say that we will miss you is an understatement!!!!
What you did for others, nobody nobody can duplicate!!!
How you cared about every person was amazing!!!
I met him once in my life at a chasuna. He agreed to deliver me a sefer from Rav Reuven Fain, zt”l.
I was struck by his warmth, the way he spoke about Rav Fain extraordinary hasmada, and his ahavas haTorah.
is there a call in number to the levaya?
any live hookups
What we know about Velvy is just the very tip of the iceberg. What he did for the rbsh”o’s children is immeasurable. He cared about every yid. Got involved in every cause to help another yid. His sense of humor was there to make another yid smile. Velvy, you will be missed!!!! You are irreplaceable!!! Who will be there for all the heilige yidden that you helped out in every possible way?? Please daven for us at the Kisei Hakavod. May you be poel yeshuos, refuos and Simchos to all of Klal Yisroel!!
So Sorry to hear about Rabbi Fikelstein. My mom knows him her name is Lucille, she use to work at the Yeshiva at 735 ave.c He had a big heart and always had a smile. GOD Bless him and his wife and children.
What Reb Velvel did for klal Yisroel most people don’t even begin to understand. He had an open account in KRM grocery that he let anyone in need us with no questions asked that he raised money for single handedly. He used to tell people to just call KRM and pay them directly it wasn’t about him ever. He helped unlimited people daily. What a loss!!
