  1. He was a great man. The Satmar Rebbe Reb Yoel tz”l loved him and respected him even though he was an Agudist. The book that was published “The Satmar Rebbe and the English Principal” tells the whole story of their relationship. May he be a meilitz yosher for his illustrious family. TNTB”H.

  2. This is terrible news and a massive loss for Klal Yisroel.
R’ Hertz was a probce of a man and an unusual visionary.
He ran Satmar girls school when it had just a few classes and built it to an amazing level of education. Btw, until today, ask any businessman who has a large staff. The Chasidish girls are the best, fastest, smartest and most loyal. Not only Satmar, of course.
And he’s the father of 2 Lakewood askanim; R’ Menachem and R’ Duvy both do enormous chesed for the K’lal – most of which, by design, the public knows nothing about.
