We regret to inform you of the Petirah or Harav Yitzchok Moshe Cohen Zatzal, who was Niftar early this morning following an illness.
Harav Cohen Zatzal was from Eretz Yisorel, and was in the U.S. and in Lakewood for treatments for approximately three years.
The Niftar was a Talmid Muvhak of Rav Yecheskel Levenstein Zatzal, Reb Aharele Belzer Zatzal, Reb Mordechai Sharabi Zatzal, and the Baba Sali Zatzal.
Approximately 50 years ago, Hagaon Reb Moshe Feinstein Zatzal said about him that he’s a Bakee in all of Torah.
He recently finished Shas for the 150th time.
The Levaya will be taking place at 10:00 AM Sunday morning at Bais Medrash Chelek Halevi, and the Kevura in Eretz Yisroel.

He knew the brisker Rav and learned by Rav chaim shmuelevitz too. It was an honor to know him.

How old was he?
He was a true tzadik .I was zocheh to hear a few shiurim from him . He was a true nistar while he was alive.
He was a gadol batorah with out all the fanfare and pictures
As a Talmid of Rav Kohn z”ya for close 20 years, I was privileged to learn from him and spend countless hours with him. He told me personally that many years ago he was offered to learn and be mesayim Shas Bavli over 1 year with Reb Chaim Kanievsky , but due to the fact that Reb Chaim lived in Bnei Brak and he live in Yerushalyim it was not feasible.
The prior post that said he was mesayim shas 150 times is NOT an exaggeration. He was a goan in Nigleh and Nister who was well versed in shas, poskim, zohar, kisvei Ari & Rashash . He had a special connection with the Torahs of Chabad as well as the Torah of Reb Nachman of Breslov. His burning desire in every action that he took was soley to elevate the Shechina Hakdosha and create Nachas Ruach L’hakadosh Boruch Hu.
May his holy neshama have an aliya , Morenu Reb Yitzchok Moshe Ben Reb Yosfe Z”ya. May he be a melitz yosher for his family and all of those who had the privilege to be connected to him.
We were zoche to have him eat by us all the time and have a personal relationship! We can attest to his great humility and greatness in Torah. He was a giant in greatness and may he be a meilitz yosher for all of Klal Yisroel!!
