We regret to inform you of the Petirah of Rav Yehuda Leib Braun Z”L, who was Niftar this evening after a lengthy illness. Rav Yehuda Leib Z”L, a son-in-law of Rav Avraham Pincus, was a Rav for many years in Flatbush, as well as a Magid Shiur in Yeshiva of Eastern Parkway. He also founded the Bais Medrash of Tannersville, Kibbutz Bnei Hayeshivos for Bais Medrash Bachurim, and a Kiruv high school for Russian students. He was 73.
Rav Yehuda Leib Z”L fell ill several years ago and as given only months to live. He moved his family to Lakewood, and lived for several more years. In Lakewood, Rav Yehuda Leib Z”L founded the Kollel of the Central Court Shul.
The Levaya will be taking place at 12:30 pm at BMG Yoshon on Monday. Kevurah in Eretz Yisroel.

What a Tzaddik. Just from his summer program, he had 1000s of talmidim who revered him. Absolutely loved him. He understood you can get a shaichus with a modern American boy a LOT better on the basketball court than in Bais Medrash. I sent my 2 teenage boys to him a few summers ago. These were very active boys. By summers end he had them behaving to him in the most aideleh manner. They called him Papa Braun and he changed their lives, and countless others. TNTB”H.

I grew up in his neighborhood in Flatbush. Such a pleasant and Wonderful man.
