We regret to inform you of the Petirah of Rav Nosson Aryeh Hakohen Munk who was Niftar this evening at the age of 82.

R Nosson, who was the son of R’ Eilyahu Munk, the noted Rov in Paris France, after World War II, was a driving force of Vaad L’hatzolas Nidchei Yisrael, an organization dedicated to save Russian Jewry, and She’eiris Yisrael, a Yeshiva for Russian children.

He was a long time mispallel in Yeshiva Shaar Yoshuv and Telshe Minyan in Boro Park and is s survived by his Eishis Chayil, Rochel (nee Rand) shetichyeh), his sons, R’ Shmuel Tzvi, R’ Yehoshua, R’ Boruch, and his daughters Tobah Lehman, Sarah Schwartz and Frumy Schwab. [His daughter, Ruty Rosenberg predeceased him.]

There will be a brief Levaya Monday morning in Boro Park at 9:30 am, 4303 15th Avenue, followed by a second Levaya in Lakewood at the Chapel, 613 Ramsey Avenue, at 1:45 pm.
