We regret to inform you of the Petirah of Rabbi Mendel Balsam Z”L. He was 97 years old.

Rabbi Balsam was Niftar in Lakewood, where he had resided for the past ten years. He previously lived in Monsey and was originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

A renowned mechanech, Rabbi Balsam served as a rebbi in Yeshiva Spring Valley for many years, leaving a lasting impact on countless talmidim.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah Balsam, and their children:

• Reb Feivy Balsam, Flatbush

• Mrs. Rivky Berger, Lakewood

• Reb Shmuel Balsam, Flatbush

• Mrs. Dini Adest, Lakewood

The Levaya is scheduled to take place at 10:00 AM Sunday at the chapel in Lakewood, 613 Ramsey Avenue. Kevurah in Eretz Yisroel.

Shivah will take place at 19 Myrtle in Lakewood.
