Founder of Israel Book shop A very chashuva yid Soft spoken and had such a sweetness to him Raised beautiful generations of ehrliche bnei Torah Will be missed BDH
BDE. He was the president of the Boston Kollel. A special person.
Israel Book Shop was the sole distributer of Metzuda Siddur at one time. I bought Metzuda Machzorim and Selichos from his son in yeshiva and I still use them. Zchuso gadol meoid, a groisa marbitz torah.
I worked for ELi at the ISRAEL BOOK SHOP for 22 years.
He was a wonderful boss.
He also funded the publishing of many seforim produced by others. Including rarities which would not have been commercially viable. I was once involved in settling a dispute between 2 publishers and he spoke softly and his upright business standards brought both sides to do right and avoid getting either one hurt. It was very impressive to see. His special charity fund did many great things. חבל על דאבדין
