We regret to inform you of the Petirah of R’ Berry (Avrohom Ber) Freund Z”L, who was Niftar today at the age of 96.
R’ Berry, father of R’ Tovia Freund of Lakewood, moved to Lakewood from Cleveland approximately 10 years ago.
The Levaya will be taking place at 1:30 PM at the Satmar Shul in Boro Park, located on 53rd St between 13 and 14th Avenues.

When I used to daven in R’ Hertzog shul, I would see R’ freund there every shabbos. Even in the freezing cold weather, and he would still be in shul.
He was a very chosheveh person from the last dor.
May he be a mailitz yoisher for ganz klal yisroel.
I occasionally daven at R Herzog’s shul. Mr Freund was such a nice, friendly person. He was there every Shabbos every Tefilah. Sometimes he would tell about life in alt shtut Satmer, from where he hailed. Always smiling, greeting people warmly all the time. May he be a gutteh better for Klal Yisroel Bichlal & his wonderful family and his neighborhood BiFrat.
